The SRM ‘s production unit for bamboo is situated at Bathalapalli, Hosur. The unit’s location falls under the Krishnagiri District of Tamil Nadu.
The unit is guided by Dr T Sekar, PhD. There is a production manager to look after in house operation, along with the media supervisor. The nursery in charge is responsible for looking after the growth process of the bamboo plantation in the nursery. There are also helping hands that assist in maintaining the unit. They include technical operators, washing and cleaning workers who are well-trained to the customs of producing and maintaining the high-grade bamboo.
